From November 1st to December 31st, connoisseurs of fine cuisine can indulge in the exquisite essence of this highly coveted fungus, which has captivated the international culinary scene.
This year, the White Truffle Festival will take place across three of our most prestigious fine dining brands: Harry’s, Ilios, and Nicoletta. At each of these restaurants, diners will be transported to a world of sublime flavors and textures, all thanks to the magic of the white truffle—a mysterious combination of aromas and flavors that captivates and delights.
Also known as the Piedmont truffle, the white truffle made its culinary debut in the 18th century during the heyday of French gastronomy, becoming especially popular in European haute cuisine, and continues to be the holy grail of high-end ingredients in the culinary world.
HARRY’S PRIME STEAKHOUSE & RAW BAR
Renowned for its exceptional selection of the highest quality cuts of meat, Harry’s embarks on a culinary journey highlighting the complexity and intensity of the white truffle in combination with its impeccable meat dishes. On the menu at Harry’s Prime Steakhouse & Raw Bar, guests can enjoy an exquisite variety of dishes, including a Pumpkin and Tonka Bean Cream with white truffle, mascarpone crostini, macadamia nut, chives, and truffle oil. Additionally, a succulent Braised Short Rib in truffle jus is served, accompanied by creamy salsify and fresh mustard leaves, presenting a blend of smoothness and a slight spicy touch thanks to the truffle demi-glace. For dessert, a delightful White Chocolate Tart with a base of dark chocolate sponge cake, topped with white chocolate and nuts, yogurt frosting, and red fruits, with a distinctive aromatic touch of white truffle oil.
NICOLETTA MODERN ITALIAN KITCHEN
Nicoletta, our outstanding Italian restaurant in Cancun and Playa del Carmen, offers an unparalleled culinary experience centered around the white truffle, perfectly reflecting the authentic spirit of Italian cuisine. Among its dishes is the Conchiglioni stuffed with mushrooms and prosciutto, gratinated and accompanied by a succulent creamy truffle sauce, garnished with basil oil and white truffle shavings. The Grilled Lamb Rack is also a standout, served with a creamy potato puree, mint gremolata, truffle-infused honey, lamb cooking juice, white truffle shavings, and roasted leek. At Ilios, our pride lies in honoring Greece’s culinary legacy through the masterful fusion of the unique essence of the white truffle with our distinctive Greek presentations during the White Truffle Festival. We present the Veal Carpaccio vitello tonnato with truffle puree, special house sauce, roasted onions, and pita chip garnish; followed by truffled baked rice with pepper sofrito, braised beef cheek, truffle jus, and sliced fresh summer truffle. We conclude this culinary experience with a tempting Apple Tart, composed of caramelized apple on a puff pastry base, enhanced with the aroma of white truffle oil, accompanied by vanilla ice cream and a delicate orange sauce.
