The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences (AAHS) is known worldwide for recognizing the excellence of the services offered by the best hotels, restaurants, entities as well as celebrities, and all those sectors that comply with the commitment to provide the best quality in their industry.
The AAHS was founded in 1949 in California by the legendary and unforgettable Frank Sinatra, along with his good friend Joseph D. Cinque. In its beginnings, it started as a group of recognized individuals who operated as a review board to evaluate and rate the services offered in the best restaurants (attention, service, quality, presentation, and culinary skill). It was later that Joseph D. Cinque, the current leader of the organization, gave a new impulse to this concept, renewing and expanding the categories and distinctions awarded, all under a rigorous system of evaluation and qualification, raising this Academy to an international level.
Thus, every year, The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences awards the International Star Diamond Award to those it considers to be the best destinations and establishments worldwide. This is the most prestigious emblem of achievement in the hospitality and luxury services sector that exists today; it is considered that all those who are awarded meet the highest quality, so it is recognized globally.

About Joseph D. Cinque
Joseph D. Cinque, connoisseur and lover of the bon vivant, co-founded the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences with famed and legendary singer and actor Frank Sinatra in 1949. However, under Mr. Cinque’s leadership, the academy grew into a global powerhouse network with affiliates around the world.
