Classic Prohibition-era whiskey cocktails served at a Grupo Anderson’s bar

“Prohibition Week” Festival

From April 5 to 27, Grupo Anderson’s invites you to a unique experience that takes you back to the 1920s with our “Prohibition Week” festival in collaboration with Brown Forman. In honor of this historic moment, we celebrate the classic cocktails born during that era, taking you back to the glamorous hidden speakeasies where the fun flowed in secret.

This festival offers a unique chance at Harry’s, Ilios, Porfirio’s, Fred’s and Nicoletta to enjoy three authentic cocktails that defined an era and left a lasting legacy in mixology culture. It is an event you cannot miss!

Where Does Prohibition Week Come From?

Prohibition Week has its roots in the historic United States amendment that banned the manufacture, sale and transportation of alcoholic beverages from 1920 to 1933. In the middle of that era of restriction, the legendary speakeasies were born: hidden hideaways where people went looking for fun and forbidden flavors in clever cocktails. This event is a tribute to an era of boldness and originality, giving our guests the chance to immerse themselves in the essence of the classic cocktails that flourished during Prohibition.

With that said, we invite you to discover the three special cocktails of this festival that you won’t want to miss this season.

Boulevardier: A Trip to the Belle Époque

Let yourself be seduced by the charm of the Boulevardier, a cocktail that evokes the exuberance of the Belle Époque. With a blend of Woodford Reserve, cacao Campari, Martini Rosso vermouth and a touch of cocoa Angostura Bitters, this cocktail will take you to the vibrant Parisian salons of the 1920s.

Old Fashioned: A Classic That Stands the Test of Time

Indulge in nostalgia with the Old Fashioned, a classic that has endured through the years. According to legend, this cocktail was created at the Pendennis Club in Louisville, Kentucky, in the 1880s. With a blend of Woodford Reserve, pineapple syrup and aromatic Angostura, every sip is a tribute to elegance and tradition.

Mint Julep: Freshness and Flavor in Every Sip

Refresh your palate with the Mint Julep, a cocktail with roots in the American South. With a blend of Woodford Reserve, mango shrub and aromatic Angostura, this cocktail will take you to sunny mornings in Virginia, where fresh mint was the best company.

Don’t wait any longer: visit Harry’s, Nicoletta, Ilios, Porfirio’s or Fred’s from April 5 to 27 to celebrate Prohibition Week and rediscover the magic of the classic cocktails that set the tone for that era.
