Cancún FC Wins Its First Liga de Expansión MX Title!

In a thrilling final that kept fans on the edge of their seats, Cancún FC was crowned champion of the Liga de Expansión MX on Sunday, December 3, beating Atlante 3-0 on aggregate. In a masterful performance, the “Iguanas” overpowered an unrecognizable Atlante side, the “Potros de Hierro”.

At Estadio Andrés Quintana Roo, Cancún FC secured the win with a goal from Raúl Castillo and an impressive brace from Cheick Traoré, after a goalless first leg. The team not only celebrated its first title since its founding in 2020, but also established itself as the best club of the season after topping the regular phase with 28 points.
