Grupo Anderson’s Celebrates Its First 60 Years

Sixty years ago, in a modest corner of Mexico City, a story began that would cross borders and leave a significant mark on Mexico’s dining scene. In 1963, an ambitious young man named Carlos Anderson started his journey selling banderillas (corn dogs) at a small stand. Now, six decades later, Grupo Anderson’s is the leading restaurant group in Mexico, with 12 brands and more than 50 locations, and the journey is just beginning.

From our humble beginnings to our global expansion, every year has been a chapter of innovation and dedication. Starting with iconic brands like Carlos’n Charlie’s and Señor Frog’s, not to mention the classic Anderson’s restaurant on Paseo de la Reforma, each new opening set the standard for culinary excellence, redefining the restaurant industry. And now, with brands like Ilios, Harry’s, La Vicenta and Porfirio’s.

In 2022 we celebrated landmark events, including our 1st Grupo Anderson’s Golf Tournament, with a spectacular closing party at the clubhouse called “El Refugio,” showing our versatility and ability to create memorable experiences. Thanks to strategic partnerships, we opened new La Vicenta locations in early 2023.

With 12 brands and more than 50 locations in Mexico, the United States and the Caribbean, Grupo Anderson’s remains the largest restaurant group in the country, with exciting projects in development. In 2023, we reaffirm our commitment to culinary excellence and innovation in hospitality by continuing to develop unique, iconic concepts, always keeping in mind that at Grupo Anderson’s, we don’t have customers, we have guests.
