Third Edition of the Tribute to the Great Talents of Mexican Cuisine: A Porfirio’s Homage
At Grupo Anderson’s, we’re excited to invite you to be part of a great tradition that honors the great talents of Mexican cuisine and celebrates the richness of our flavors: the third edition of the Tribute to the Great Talents of Mexican Cuisine.
After the resounding success of the two previous seasons, Porfirio’s is getting ready for this edition, in which eight of the finest representatives of the Mexican culinary scene come together to delight us with unique creations that reflect the passion and pride we feel for our great country.
This time, the event will feature renowned chefs who have left their mark on Mexican and international cuisine. Among them, we’re thrilled to welcome Roberto Morales, better known as Robe Grill, a young grill master from Sonora who in recent years has shared his passion for charcoal cooking with millions of people through social media, bringing thousands closer to the kitchen. For this edition, he will surprise us with his creation, “Los Tacos Chillones”.

We will also have the honor of welcoming Rodrigo Rivera-Río, talented chef and co-owner of the award-winning restaurant Koli, which appears on the prestigious Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants list. He will take us on a culinary journey with his exquisite “Huarache Tampiqueño”.

We will also be joined by the iconic Armando Rodríguez, taquero extraordinaire, star of the Netflix series “Taco Chronicles” and one of Sonora’s most beloved personalities, who will present his “Tacos Sonorenses”, a true delight.

We will also enjoy the talent of Ernesto Aguilera, creator of the “Recorrido en el Mercado Pino Suárez” food tour and owner of the restaurant Tierracriolla, who will surprise us with his “Ceviche Verde”.

The list of talented chefs continues with Roberto Bello, a World Culinary Olympics competitor and co-owner of Pesquero MX, who presents his creation: “Torre de Mariscos”.

Oscar Herrera, chef and owner of Flor de Nogal and founding partner of Cook Instituto Culinario, will delight us with his “Costilla de res en salsa de chile pasado” (beef short rib in dried chile sauce).

With the Rivera-Río brothers taking part, we couldn’t leave out Daniel Rivera-Río, also owner and chef of Koli, as well as Mantela in Guadalajara, who will provide the perfect finishing touch with his take on the classic dessert “Fresas con Crema” (strawberries and cream).

As if that weren’t enough, we will also have a special pairing selected by Patricio Rivera-Río, named National Sommelier of the Year in 2020, who will lead the pairing for the Tribute menu, creating a unique experience.

So join us on October 11 in Mexico City for an unforgettable culinary experience. Because in Mexico we celebrate food like no one else, and at Porfirio’s we do it better than anyone! We look forward to seeing you!
